Welcome the gentle shift into autumn?s slower rhythm by crafting apple candles and gathering in ceremony -a heartfelt offering of gratitude to the Earth, shared in community

Community members, neighbors, and friends are invited to the Old Forge Library at 220 Crosby Boulevard on Tuesday, September 23, beginning at 4 pm, for a celebration of the Fall Equinox.
The celebration begins with a hands-on apple candle craft, where participants will create their own candles using real apples, melted wax, and wicks. A simple ceremony of gratitude will follow, offering a moment to appreciate the season and Mother Earth. Across cultures and throughout history, the Fall Equinox has been a time of balance, harvest, and community, and this event continues that tradition in a local and meaningful way.

Although the equinox officially occurs the day before, this gathering offers a chance to honor the fullness of fall and the shift into a slower, more reflective season. The event will take place outside, so attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather.

The event is free and open to all. It is designed to be gentle, fun, and welcoming for all ages. Registration is appreciated to help plan for candle-making supplies, but walk-ins are welcome, and there will be plenty of materials available. For more information or to register, call 315-369-6008.
